Chapter and Verse

We’ve been busy passing along our informal opinions about the books we’ve been reading over the past year. This blog was started to gather all that information in one convenient place. Here you’ll find book reviews of our favorite (and not so favorite) books, commentary on those reviews and other interesting asides about new releases and favorite authors.

We invite you to read the reviews already written here. If there is a comment you wish to make about a particular review, you can do that by clicking on the comment button attached to a post. The reviewer’s goal is to give you an honest review of a particular book that will help you decide whether or not you’d like to read it. It would help if you could tell the reviewer if you found the review helpful, and, after you’ve read the book, if you agreed or disagreed with the reviewer’s point of view.

If you’d like to review a book yourself, just contact one of the administrators at the email address in the side bar. The more people we have participating, the more useful this site will be.

On our Quickies page, you'll find recommendations and comments (both positive and negative) about books that have been read, but not reviewed. If you'd like to add a quick comment of your own about a book you've read, add it in the comment box on the Quickies page.

Take a look at the sidebar where we’ve placed some links to websites you may find interesting. There are favorite author home pages, bestseller lists and some fan fiction sites worth checking out. If you have a site you think may be of interest, let us know and we’ll post it.

There is also a page for new releases. If you hear of any books that peak your interest by your favorite author, by all means, let us know and we'll add it to the list.

Hopefully this site will be quite interactive, with a lot of comments and give and take. The only thing we will ask is that you do not post spoilers that may ruin the ending of a book for someone else. While some of us may like to peek at the last page or two of a book, most readers do not want to know the ending of a book before they begin. Please abide by this one rule.
